2 RESEARCH TEACHING POSTS IN COMPUTER SCIENCE AND MECHATRONICS: APPLY BEFORE 29 MARCH!

Category: Research

The 2024 recruitment campaign for teacher-researchers at Sorbonne Université is open from 22 February 2024 at 10:00 until 29 March 2024 at 16:00. Applications can only be made via the Galaxie ministerial portal.

Among the positions open by the Faculty of Science and Engineering of Sorbonne University, two positions are open with a possible assignment to ISIR. One position for a lecturer in “Computer Science for Intelligent Systems” is available with an assignment to ISIR, LIB or LIMICS, depending on the research themes; and one position for a university professor in “Mechatronics for Robotics” is available with an assignment to ISIR.

Section 27 – Computing

Research :

The position is open to all fields relating to intelligent systems, including logical and/or numerical approaches to artificial intelligence.

The successful candidate will join one of the ISIR, LIB or LIMICS laboratories, depending on his/her research area, and may carry out projects at the SCAI (Sorbonne Center for Artificial Intelligence). The laboratories handle large health databases (real-life hospital data, medical imaging), biology and robotics.

Teaching :

Training courses concerned: Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in computer science, Sorbonne University

The person recruited will be involved in a balanced way in the various levels of training, from L1 to M2. He/she will make a significant contribution to the teaching of computer science undergraduates, whose needs cover the whole of the discipline: algorithms, programming (particularly object, concurrent, functional and web programming), discrete mathematics, data structures, systems, architecture, networks, compilation, databases, etc.

Section 60 – Mechanics, mechanical engineering, civil engineering

Research :

The mechatronic structure of a robot and the materials of which it is composed define its motor capabilities and can give it particular resilience or task-solving properties (embodied intelligence), particularly when it is composed of deformable materials (“soft robotics”). The candidate will create a new research activity at ISIR on mechanical robot design with a particular interest in at least one of the following themes: soft robotics, embodied intelligence, resilient architectures, mechanical-control co-design.

Teaching:

The person recruited will be involved in the various training courses offered by the Mechanical Degree and the Automation-Robotics specialism of the Engineering Sciences Masters Department at Sorbonne University. She will also teach in the first year of the integration cycle (L1) as part of the mechanics teaching units.
