- Bio: Naoko Abe is a researcher in social robotics within the ASIMOV team at Sorbonne University. She holds a PhD in Sociology from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) in Paris, and a teaching certificate in Kinetography Laban from the Conservatoire de Paris (CNSMDP). Her previous roles include postdoctoral research at LAAS-CNRS, a Renault-Junior Fellowship at EHESS, and leading research at the Sydney Institute for Robotics and Intelligent Systems (SIRIS), University of Sydney. She has also worked with Naver Labs Europe. Naoko leads interdisciplinary research, collaborating with engineers, scientists, designers, and artists. Her research interests include human-robot collaboration, motion-based interaction, and robot navigation in public spaces.
