- Bio: Former PhD student at ISIR (2015–2019), I am a researcher in computational neuroscience and biological systems modelling, with a particular interest in the mechanisms of learning and decision-making. My work focuses on meta-learning, that is, how organisms regulate their learning parameters in order to adapt their learning rate and exploration-exploitation trade-off to their environment. I am currently working on modelling an experiment conducted by a team of neuroscientists in Bordeaux, aimed at understanding how initial learning conditions continue to affect future learning abilities. My research also covers the multiple roles of dopamine in learning and motivation, the development of Bayesian methods to infer neuronal connectivity, and the modelling of foraging behaviour and sign-tracking/goal-tracking phenomena. In parallel, I have developed biophysical models of arterial thrombosis as well as software tools for experimental data analysis using Shiny for R. I am also interested in the theoretical and philosophical implications of the unique feature of mistake-making in living systems.
