Short Bio

Lionel Prevost defended his PhD Thesis on handwriting recognition in 1998 and his supervision Degree in 2007, at Pierre and Marie Curie University (Paris 6). He is currently a Lecturer at the Institute of Intelligent Robotic Systems where he makes researches in the fields of pattern recognition, machine learning, classification and information fusion. He supervised several PhDs on handwritten text recognition, object detection (text, cars, and faces). He currently works on facial analysis (localization, tracking, emotion recognition) in still images and videos. This is a part of the academic IMMEMO project. He is also involved in a project called "intelligent glasses" which aim is to help visually impaired persons. He works in collaboration with several industrial groups (PSA, SAGEM). He published some 50 papers in national and international journals and forefront conferences in image processing, pattern recognition, data fusion and handwriting analysis. He is member of the program committee of several conferences. He reviews many projects and scientific publications.
