About the documentary

Created in 2019 at ISIR, the Smart ArM team set itself an ambitious challenge: to design an innovative prosthetic arm to enable Christophe, who was born with agenesis of the right arm, to participate in the Cybathlon.

The Cybathlon is an international competition organised by ETH Zurich, where people with disabilities perform everyday tasks with the help of active assistive technologies. The event highlights the collaboration between research, technology and lived experience.

For five years, cameras followed the team members, engineers, researchers and athletes through the stages of design, training, testing, doubts and small victories.

The result is a documentary that delves into the heart of this adventure, where science is put at the service of humanity.
