On Wednesday 1 July 2026, ISIR celebrated its annual event: “ISIR Day”, a unifying occasion that brought the laboratory community together for a programme rich in discussion and moments of conviviality.
The day began with the laboratory’s Annual General Meeting, a key event providing an opportunity to review the achievements of the past year and to share future prospects and projects. A series of presentations followed, offering an overview of ISIR’s activities through contributions from the research teams, support services, and the Gender Equality and Sustainable Development units.
Alongside these sessions of information and collective reflection, the day was also marked by opportunities for socialising. In particular, participants were able to come together for a convivial lunch and explore the exhibition of the ISIR’s internal photography competition, which showcased our research activities.
The day drew to a close in a warm and friendly atmosphere with a drinks reception featuring an open-mic session, giving everyone the chance to showcase their musical talents and enjoy a festive moment with members of the laboratory.
This 2026 event once again demonstrated the vitality of the ISIR community and the importance of such collective gatherings in fostering dialogue, the sharing of experiences and bonds within the ISIR community.
