The 2022 recruitment campaign for Sorbonne University’s teacher-researchers has been open since February 1, 2022, until March 4, 2022 inclusive.
Among the open positions, a position of Lecturer “Robotics of manipulation” is to be filled with a research assignment at ISIR and a position of Professor of Universities “Artificial Intelligence: Theory and Applications” is to be filled with a possible assignment in one of the laboratories: ISIR, LIB, LIMICS or LIP6.
Lecturer
Section 61 – Computer Engineering, Automation and Signal Processing
Profile: Robotics of manipulation
The profile sought is that of a roboticist with a strong taste for experimental activities. The candidate must demonstrate a mastery of the dynamic analysis and control of manipulative and mobile robots. The candidate should be comfortable with the whole chain of control implementation, such as data, signal and image processing.
Research
The successful candidate will conduct research at ISIR in one of the fields related to robotic manipulation: dexterous manipulation, collaborative manipulation, multi-scale manipulation, telemanipulation, comanipulation, exoskeletons and upper limb prostheses, etc. This research is intended to be integrated as a priority in the SYROCO team. However, this priority is not absolute and any application proposing research in robotic manipulation with integration in another team will be examined with attention.
The research could be conducted in system and interaction modelling, the exploitation of these models for the synthesis of commands or behaviours, processing of data provided by sensors for the implementation in real time of these command laws or behaviours. The abilitý to validate the work on demonstrators is an important asset for the position.

Section 27 – Computer Science
Profile: Artificial Intelligence: theory and applications
The person recruited will make a significant contribution to the teaching of the Bachelor’s degree in computer science, the needs of which cover the entire discipline (algorithms, object programming, concurrent programming, functional programming, web programming, discrete mathematics, data structures, systems, architecture, networks, compilation, databases, etc.) as well as to the Master’s degree in computer science, in particular for the ANDROIDE, BIM and DAC courses.
Research
The position is open to all fields of AI and its applications. The successful candidate will integrate one of the laboratories: ISIR, LIB, LIMICS or LIP6 according to his/her research themes, and/or projects involving several host laboratories within SCAI (Sorbonne Center for Artificial Intelligence). The professor should be able to coordinate national and international collaborative programs. The candidate’s past participation in multidisciplinary projects will be appreciated.
